Psychological support for parents and children

Wherever you are on your parenthood journey, we offer support tailored to you or your child’s needs.

Our experiences of both being parented, and of parenting can significantly shape the way we view ourselves, the world and other people, and ultimately our mental health and the mental health of our children.

At The Parenthood Psychology Practice, we provide a space for all elements of parenting, whether that is wanting to reflect on challenges from your own childhood, facing difficulties in becoming pregnant, having experienced loss or trauma, struggling with adjustment to parenthood, experiencing conflict within a family, or needing support for the mental health of your child.

About

ABOUT ME

I'm Lucy, Clinical Psychologist and mum of 2. I am passionate about supporting families through the challenges that life can bring.

I take a compassionate, thoughtful and curious approach to my work. I have over 10 years experience working therapeutically with a variety of people, families and children with a range of psychological needs. I have set up the Parenthood Psychology Practice to provide a service for individuals and families around what I believe to be one of the most challenging, and rewarding times of life. Embarking on a journey to parenthood, however that looks for you, is likely to bring a whole wave of emotions, and some which you may not want to be holding on your own.

I believe relationships are fundamental, and therefore place a huge emphasis on building a safe therapeutic relationship as the foundation of our work together.
